Hi, welcome to Aquatic Science for 2021-2022. I am beginning my 18th year of teaching and this will be my 7th year at Rockwall Heath High School. I have previously taught Biology, Pre-AP Biology, GT Pre-AP Biology, AVID, IPC, Earth & Space Science and Environmental Systems. I am returning to teaching Aquatic Science this year for a secondyear and I look forward to this adventure. I have a BS in Animal Science from Texas A&M University and am currently doing coursework at Collin College for an Associate's Degree in Medical Sonography.

I am looking forward to all the fascinating topics that we will cover in Aquatic Science this year. We will look at watersheds, the water cycle, aquifer and springs, rivers and streams, lakes and ponds, estuaries and bays, wetlands and oceans. We will also utilize the retention pond behind the baseball field and the tennis courts, when the weather permits, to observe changes in weather and how the aquatic environment is affected, how water flows into the pond and out again, what wildlife are attracted to the environment and what plant life is present.
