District Honors Retirees Leaving Lasting Impact in Public Education

District Honors Retirees Leaving Lasting Impact in Public Education
Luci Mouton

Rockwall ISD recently celebrated the retirement of a remarkable group of educators and staff members during a heartfelt reception honoring their dedication and service to public education. The event recognized retirees from across the district, including teachers, principals, transportation staff, technology professionals, and more.

Together, this year’s retirees represent an incredible 550 years of combined service to public education, with 310 of those years devoted to Rockwall ISD. The reception was a time of reflection, gratitude, and celebration, filled with stories, laughter, and well-wishes from colleagues, friends, and district leaders.

“We are grateful for the impact these individuals have made on generations of students and the Rockwall ISD community,” said Superintendent Dr. John Villarreal. “Their passion and commitment have helped shape the success of our schools, and their legacy will continue to inspire.”

Rockwall ISD extends its deepest appreciation and congratulations to all of this year’s retirees. Your contributions have made a lasting difference.
