Education & Training Student Places 2nd at Nationals

Congratulations to Kaylee, an Education and Training student at the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy, for achieving a historic milestone! Kaylee became the first student from the Education & Training program to compete at the national FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) competition. 

The national competition was held in in Orlando, Florida, from July 5–10, 2025, welcoming thousands of students from across the nation for a week of competition, leadership development, and career exploration. Competing in the Early Childhood Education category, Kaylee earned an impressive second place in the nation.
