Congratulations to the Rockwall-Heath High School Choir on their record-breaking five students selected for the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Choir!
The Heath Choir has never had more than one student make all-state in a single school year and has only had four students in total in the school’s history.
“We are beyond proud of these exceptional students and their dedication to excellence,” said choir teacher Lauren Smith.
Each fall, more than 70,000 Texas high school students begin the rigorous all-state audition process. Only 1,810 students are chosen to be part of one of 18 prestigious TMEA All-State ensembles.
The following students will perform at the TMEA annual convention in San Antonio this February:
Lexie B. – Mixed Choir
Emily F. – Mixed Choir
Noah B. – Mixed Choir
Addie R. – Treble Choir
Elise K. – Treble Choir
