Rockwall HS Student Wins Dallas Mavericks Art Contest
Luci Mouton

Rockwall High School student Kriston M. was interviewed on the FOX 4 News morning broadcast! Kriston is just one of five winners of the Black History Month Art Contest by the Dallas Mavericks. This is an incredible honor that recognizes both artistic excellence and meaningful storytelling through the visual arts.

You can see Kriston and the other winners at the Mavs Friday game where they will be celebrated during the halftime show. His artwork will also be displayed at the African American Museum in Dallas, and he will receive an educational trip to New Orleans.

"We are so proud of [Kriston]," said art teacher Justin Clumpner. "His work ethic, creative voice, and dedication to his artmaking make him incredibly deserving of this recognition. He represents Rockwall High School with excellence, and we cannot wait to see where his drive will take him."
