Step by Step, Rockwall ISD Strengthens Workplace Safety

The Rockwall ISD Human Resources Department is taking proactive steps to enhance workplace safety thanks to a generous Safety Grant awarded by Texas Mutual Insurance Co. for the 2025–2026 school year. Each year, Texas Mutual reviews applications from policyholders and selects recipients based on their proposed plans to improve safety and reduce workplace injuries.

Safety Grants are designed to support the purchase of ergonomic or safety‑related equipment—tools that make daily tasks safer and help prevent injuries.

This year’s funding allowed Human Resources to provide 33 new step ladders to departments across the district. The grant also ensured that the district’s newest campuses—those that were not part of the 2022–2023 grant cycle—received this essential equipment as well.

With these additions, the district continues its commitment to maintaining safe and supportive environments for all staff members. The district extends its appreciation to Texas Mutual Insurance Co. for its ongoing investment in workplace safety.
