Students in Education & Training Program Place at Nationals

Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy students in Texas Association of Future Educators earned a top spot at the national competition in June.
Congratulations to junior Adri L. and sophomore Kassidy S. for placing second in the Public Service Announcement category at the Educators Rising National Conference last month in Washington, D.C. The topic they presented on was teacher recruitment.
TAFE advisors Robin Peterson and Laura Gunter said they are proud of the hard work and dedication the students put into their project.
“They are going to be superstars in the education field,” they said.
