Twenty GBCCA BPA Students Headed to National Leadership Conference in Orlando

Twenty Business Professionals of America (BPA) members from the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy (GBCCA) have advanced to compete at the 2025 BPA National Leadership Conference (NLC), taking place May 7–11 in Orlando, Florida.

Twelve students secured their place at NLC through top performances at the 2025 Texas State Leadership Conference (SLC), held February 27–March 2 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. An additional twelve students were named as NLC alternates and may be called up in March to represent GBCCA on the national stage.

In addition to the SLC success, ten students competing in BPA Virtual Events have advanced to the Top 10 National Finals. Among them, two students also qualified at SLC. These Virtual Event competitors have already earned Top 10 national recognition and are invited to showcase their projects in person at the NLC. At the conference, they will compete for “Best in Show” honors and learn their exact national placements during the NLC Grand Awards Ceremony on May 11.

Ten students placed in the top 10 nationwide in Virtual Events and will represent GBCCA at the NLC:
