Rock Nine April Celebrations

April Student of the Month, Staff Member of the Month, and Teacher of the Month were awarded on the Rock Nine campus this week. 

Congratulations to Rock Nine Student of the Month: Valentina A., who was nominated by World Geography teacher, Coach Eddy. He said, "Valentina has worked hard all year to achieve what she has in my class. She works hard every single day to make sure her work is complete, and she learns the material. She has gone above and beyond to make sure that she learns and asks questions when she doesn't understand." Valentina was given a surprise recognition during her class and was awarded some treats and a certificate.

Congratulations to Staff Member of the Month: Erin Lord, Instructional Aide. Nominations for Mrs. Lord said, "Mrs. Lord is a constant source of inspiration and support for her students. She helps them recognize how their choices affect their academic progress and encourages them to make thoughtful decisions. Students often carry her lessons with them beyond the classroom, recalling her guidance even when they pass her in the hallway. By connecting with students on both a personal and professional level, Mrs. Lord provides the support and mentorship they need as they navigate their first year of high school." Mrs. Lord was surprised in one of her classes with a goody bag and certificate.

Congratulations to Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Leah Jurca, Honors & SAGE English Teacher. Nominations for Mrs. Jurca said, "Leah has done an outstanding job of planning for success while creating a memorable, real-world mock trial to support their ELA unit on Romeo and Juliet in her SAGE classes. She has planned every detail to ensure the students are successful and the organizational efforts will result in a smooth day. This event also brings FUN into the classroom for maximum engagement." Mrs. Jurca was surprised during one of her classes with a goody bag and certificate.
