Rock Nine February Celebrations
Jessica Applegate

February Student of the Month, Staff Member of the Month, and Teacher of the Month were awarded on the Rock Nine campus this week.

Congratulations to Rock Nine Student of the Month: Lucy F., who was nominated by Math  Teachers, Coach Cain and Mrs. Miner. They said, "Lucy is a hardworking student who consistently demonstrates determination and a strong desire to improve. She approaches her work with a positive attitude and brings an outgoing, uplifting presence to the classroom. Lucy treats her peers with genuine kindness. Her dedication to her academics and her outstanding character, make her a great candidate for Student of the Month." Lucy was given a surprise recognition during her Honors Geometry class and was awarded some treats and a certificate.

Congratulations to Staff Member of the Month: Julie Lambert, ACE Paraprofessional. Nominations for Mrs. Lambert said, "Julie Lambert embodies the heart of the HIVE mission in everything she does as a paraprofessional. She builds genuine, positive relationships with every student she supports, creating a safe and encouraging environment where they feel understood and valued. Julie models a culture where mistakes are simply part of learning, helping students take risks with confidence and pride. She holds high expectations for her learners and works tirelessly to support rigorous, meaningful growth. Her presence is a true asset to our campus—steady, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping every child succeed." Mrs. Lambert was surprised in her classroom with a goody bag and certificate.

Congratulations to Teacher of the Month: Brittany Martin, ACE Teacher. Nominations for Mrs. Martin said, "Brittany is the epitome of selflessness. Throughout her day, she stands as a smiling ROCK for her students to focus on. She is always putting the well-being and success of her students at the front of her focus. This is seen through her giving up her conference/lunch period to meet with district personnel to focus on student paperwork, or even helping educate fellow teachers on teaching students with disabilities. Mrs. Martin is truly irreplaceable at Rock 9." Mrs. Martin was surprised during one of her classes with a goody bag and certificate.
