UIL 6A State Swim Meet Results
Jessica Applegate
Four RHS swimmers and two Rock Nine swimmers competed at the State Swim Meet in Austin on February 20-21.
Senior Livi R. competed competed in prelims and finals of the 200 Individual Medley and finished in first place making her the State Champion in that event!
Senior Brylie R. competed in prelims and finals of the 100 Breaststroke, finishing 15th overall.
Senior Quinn P. competed in prelims and finals of the 500 Freestyle, finishing 12th overall.
Senior Kate S. competed in prelims of the 50 Freestyle, finishing 17th overall.
Freshman Elisabeth C. competed in prelims and finals of the 100 Backstroke, finishing 9th overall.
Freshman Ava W. competed in prelims of the 100 Fly, finishing 22nd overall.
Livi R., Brylie R., Kate S., and Elisabeth C. each competed in the prelims and finals of the 200 Medley Relay (5th place finish), 200 Free Relay (4th place finish), and 400 Free Relay (5th place finish).
The combined efforts of all six RHS female swimmers earned them a fifth place team finish - the highest team finish in school history. Way to go, ladies!
