Lunchtime Coding

Lunchtime Coding
Allyssa Loya

Students at Utley Middle School recently put their technology skills to the test during a PACK time coding activity in the library, led by Ms. Doss and Ms. Loya. Using block coding and Microbits, students explored the basics of programming through hands-on challenges that encouraged creativity and critical thinking. They experimented with different functions and commands, quickly picking up new coding concepts and working together to troubleshoot their projects.

The activity was such a hit that many students immediately asked when they could do it again. Their enthusiasm has sparked plans to make coding sessions a more regular event in the library next year, giving even more students the chance to build their coding skills in a fun and engaging way.
