I am excited to start my 5th year at Rockwall High School and 9th year in education!

A little about myself, I grew up in the North Houston area and am still a dieheart fan of the Astros! I moved up to the Dallas area to attend the University of Texas at Dallas where I earned my Bachelor's in History and Master's in Humanities. I also just completed my Master's in Educational Leadership this past year.

As an educator, I believe in how influential our mindset can be in shaping the way we interpret the world we live in. In my classroom, I try to always model and instill a positive attitude each day by supporting my students both academically and socio-emotionally. One way I do this is by always incorporating relevancy in what I teach...

In IB History, we explore the WHY and HOW of History. Through this course students are able to gain a deeper understanding of how events in the past shaped the lives of those at that time as well as continue to shape our current society.

In Psychology, we explore the influence both nature and nuture have on behavior to ultimately better understand our own self-care in addition to promoting awareness for the importance of mental health.

HOW TO STAY CONNECTED?

To keep students and parents notified about upcoming test days, assignment due dates, and any other important reminders, we will use CANVAS & REMIND. Students will be pre-enrolled in their Canvas courses based on their Skyward schedule.
