Mrs. Jami Werth

A Big Texas Howdy!

I am Jami Werth, a veteran Respiratory Care Practitioner specializing in Asthma Education.  I am an alumnus of Tyler Jr. College and cum laude graduate of ATM- Commerce with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science.

I have worked in the medical field for over two decades, specializing in asthma education and teaching CPR. As a pioneer respiratory clinician outside the inpatient setting, I have been performing respiratory evaluations and follow-ups at a local pediatric clinic.  I have been responsible for creating care plans to help patients recover from acute respiratory diseases. In addition, the creation of action plans to proactively treat chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma is my passion.  I have extensive knowledge of the heart, lungs, and kidneys and hope to share my life experiences in the field of medicine with my students!

I am an East Texas native who began my career in a small ETMC facility.  I moved to Rockwall in 2005 and my husband and I have four children. I enjoy spending time with my family:  husband, Trevor, (IT Management), children: Peyton (2012 RHHS and Berklee College of Music 2018 Alumni), Kaiton (2015 graduate), Brennan, (RHS 2020 Alumni & Tarleton State 2024 Alumni), and Ashtyn (RHS Athlete and 2026 Graduate).

Some of my favorite things include LSU Tiger football, watching my children play sports, hearing my oldest daughter & her husband sing, traveling, and running Spartan races with my husband of 20 years, and last but not least, babysitting my beautiful grand-angels!

I believe that every student is capable of success and that sometimes that success best occurs in our shortcomings or failures. For, it is not failure itself that defines us but rather what we do thereafter that does.   I am excited to be a part of the RISD family and look forward to a positive year of learning alongside my students.

Please check out my Canvas as that is where I keep most of my assignments and reminders.  Your student can invite you or feel free to email me with your request @  jami.werth@rockwallisd.org
