Hello, my name is Jana Helmer.  I will be your Pre AP Texas History, PALS or drill team teacher this year.  I am excited about what we will learn and the connections we will make together this year.  I am a graduate of East Texas State University  and I have been a teacher for 26 years.  I love teaching and trust that you and your student will discover that this year as we interact.  I am married  to Dr. Brad Helmer the Head of School at Heritage Christian Academy of Rockwall.  I have 2 children. My daughter Shelby is a third year teacher at Furlough Middle School in Terrell and got married to Wyatt Walls over Christmas break 2019.  My son Brooks is a graduate of Baylor University and is now getting his MBA at Oral Roberts University while continuing his baseball career.      I’m excited to get to know more about you this year!  Welcome to my class!!!!

I can conference with parents before and after school or on my conference period between 3:00-3:30.
