    Elizabeth Duvall and Aubren Montgomery earned the high honor of The Presidential Volunteer Service Award through their service to our community with Helping Hands.   • "Utley Middle School receives "2018 Lifesaver Award"

    "Utley Middle School receives "2018 Lifesaver" recognition because the student body raised over $3000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students pictured are from Mrs. Johnson's PACK time class, which raised over $700 by themselves!

  • 8th Grade Boys Soccer Team Wins District!

    Last night the 8th grade boys soccer team accomplished something that no other middle school soccer team can even surpass. After last night’s amazing come-from-behind 2-1 win over Royse City, these boys not only are the back-to-back district champions but, more importantly, they’ve completed their middle school soccer career having never lost nor tied a single game.

  • UMS PALS Donate Duffel Bags

    The Utley Middle School PALS bought, decorated duffle bags, and filled them with stuffed animals, blankets, coloring books, crayons, and toiletries to donate to local foster care agencies. Many foster children arrive at a foster care agency without any personal belongings and if they do have something, they often only have a trash bag or a plastic sack with a few articles of clothing inside.

  • Blake Furguson Wins Grand Champion

    Utley Middle School student and Junior FFA member, Blake Furguson, recently competed in the Youth Fair of Rockwall. The Youth Fair showcases agriculture projects both mechanical and animal that youth in Rockwall 4H and Rockwall FFA have made and raised.

  • Lorien Britt Wins Flute Masterclass Competition

    Utley Middle School flute student, Lorien Britt, won one of only a maximum of three spots in the 40th Annual Texas Flute Society Flute Festival Junior High School Masterclass. In this competition, she prepared a difficult solo and sent in an audition tape against other flute players from all over Texas.

  • UMS Honor Band Wins Sweepstakes

    On March 27 and 28, 2018 Utley Middle School Symphonic and Honors Bands traveled to Wylie East High School to participate in University Interscholastic League (UIL) Concert and Sight Reading Contest. UIL is an official state adjudication for band which gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of skills.

  • NJHS Students Volunteer at Buckner

    Utley's NJHS volunteered on 3/10 to start off Spring Break! The NJHS students went to Buckner's International to box up over 1500 pairs of shoes into over 130 boxes to send the Guatemala!

  • Utley Wins Imagine Math Trophy for February

    Bri Malone's 4th Period Class at Utley Middle School wins the Imagine Learning Math for February 2018. Her students had the highest average number of lessons passed. They received the trophy on March 7. There to present the award were Sarah Schapansky and David Webb from Imagine Learning.

  • Imagine Math Rockwall Mathletes Contest.

    Mrs. Dawn Johnson's 4th period class is our first winner of the Rockwall ISD Imagine Math Rockwall Mathletes Contest. Students at all three middle schools are working in Imagine Math to fill gaps and extend learning in math.

  • UMS Competes at Future CIty Competition

    This weekend, 3 future engineers, Laura, Brooklyn, and Robert, competed in the Future City Competition. This year's challenge was to plan a senior friendly city. The students not only had to build a scale model and present it, but build a virtual city, design a PowerPoint presentation, and write a 1500 word essay.

  • UMS Drill Competes at Contest

    This weekend the UMS Drill Team competed at the North TX Regionals Dance Contest. Our girls did amazing!! Our 7th and 8th grade officers received the Best in Class Award (1st place) for their officer routines in the Middle School Category.

    Over the weekend, the UMS UIL One Act Play Cast took home second place overall in their competition! Their performance of Olwen Wymark’s Find Me was very emotional, with many striking moments and monologues delivered with excellence.

    Utley Middle School students participated in a Poetry Coffeehouse. 7th grade SAGE students and 8th grade Pre-AP students came together in Mrs. Cypert's class to create a fun and reflective way to remember what poetry is really all about: creativity and expression.

    Seventeen Utley Middle School band students were recently awarded spots into the 2017 Rockwall ISD All-District Honor Band. Students from all three middle schools competed on November 1, 2017 for only a handful of spots in the elite ensemble.

    Utley PALS hosted a "New Student Breakfast" for any student that is new to Rockwall ISD. We had over 70 new students enroll at Utley this year and it was such a great time!

  • Champions of Change

    Utley Middle School students recently participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student Series campaign (formerly called Pennies for Patients). Students donated change from March 20 through April 7 through their PACK time classes. Our initial goal was $2017 in order to become a nationally recognized Lifesaver School.

  • UMS Students Achieve Superior Rating at JVASE

    On Saturday April 22nd, ten artists from Utley Middle School attended Jr. VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event). Eight of the artists received a rating of 4, which is the "Superior" rating.

    The purpose of the Utley Middle School PTA is to support the students, parents, faculty, and staff. This year we are proud to provide supplemental services such as Educational Programs for parents and students, the Spring Social, Utley Spirit Shirts, Utley Window Decals, Utley USB Sticks, Friday Snack Shack, Teacher Appreciation activities, and much more.
