Junior Police Camp 

Week of June 28th - July 1st, 2021 OR August 2nd - August 5th, 2021 

OVERVIEW

Does looking for bad guys and learning police tactics interest you? Ever wondered what it would be like to train like a police officer? Well, look no further! The Rockwall Police Department is excited to announce its very 1st Annual Junior Police Camp. This is intended for middle school students who will be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade starting August 2021.  You can only sign up for one week, and there are only 2 weeks out of the summer designated for middle school. Don’t wait to sign up! 

A Peek Into the Week

Cadets will get practical, hands-on training in defensive tactics, CPR/ First Aid, Stop the Bleed, building clearing, traffic stops, gun safety, anti-bullying, drug awareness and so much more! 

Expectations and Qualifications 

Cadets will be expected to attend every day and show up promptly on time at 8 am. Cadets will be released each day at 4 pm sharp. This will be physically challenging at times, so students should dress in appropriate athletic attire. 100% effort and attention to each instructor is a must! 

To be eligible, you must be passing all classes, have no disciplinary issues at school (this will be verified), and be in 6th, 7th, 8th-grade start of August 2021. 

How to Sign Up

Those interested in RPD Junior Police Academy should apply at http://www.rockwallpolice.org/, click on the Community Service Division tab, then select Rockwall Junior Police Academy. A $25 fee will be required on the first day of Camp. The camp will be held at Utley Middle School.
