New Student Breakfast

breakfast

The UMS Counseling department and PALS hosted a new student breakfast at the beginning of the school year to welcome new Rockwall ISD students.

Students enjoyed donuts, chick-fil-a, milk, and juices. Students were allowed to mingle with 8th grade student leaders(PALS) to check in on their adjustment at Utley and participated in a "Would You Rather" game to break the ice.

With so many new faces this year, the counseling department and PALS wanted the newcomers to feel at home by connecting them to other students and adults in the building. Not only were new friendships made, but all new students had the opportunity to meet our admin team, school counselors, and several other essential staff members during the breakfast.

A special thanks goes to the UMS administration for supporting the counseling department and PALS in their implementation of various activities to help support the social-emotional needs of our new students.
