Utley Choir Wins Sweepstakes!

Utley UIL choir completed the best competition season it has ever seen. For the first time, Utley, led by Mr. Behne, took four choirs to UIL - beginner girls, intermediate girls, advanced girls, and advanced boys. And, for the first time ever, all groups received a Sweepstakes trophy! Not only that, but every group received straight ones, the best possible score, from their judging panels.

Of the competition, Mr. Behne said, "These kids have worked incredibly hard the past three months to get here, and I'm extremely proud of their results. The judges were extremely complimentary, and the boys got the winning comment of the entire experience: 'I don't even want to write comments, I just want to listen to your wonderful performance!'"
