NJHS Book Drive

book

The Utley National Junior Honor Society recently completed a book drive to help support the Rockwall ISD librarians' summer initiative, Rockwall Reads.
The aim of Rockwall Reads is to provide books to students during the summer, allowing them to have access to books at home while not in school.
The Utley NJHS ran the book drive for two weeks in April, formatting it as a competition between classes. The winning class would receive an ice cream sundae party. Thanks to their efforts, 1778 books were collected! This book drive was a huge success, and students will be able to benefit from the books they receive throughout the summer.
"NJHS is always willing to help out," says Nolan Stovall, an NJHS member, "so this was a perfect opportunity to do that."
