Students of the Month

Congratulations to our students of the month! Below is what teachers had to say about these students' character.

Evan Barksdale - Positive Attitude and Integrity

Coach Owens said, "Even though I don't have him, Evan always makes sure he takes the time to stop and say hello to the other coaches and me when he walks into the gym. He is incredibly polite and kind and always, always, always tries his absolute best. He may not succeed in certain activities, but we never have to question his participation and effort. He is a student that helps make our PE classes a little bit better because we can count on him to do what is asked of him and to participate in class. He never complains and always has a great attitude and a smile on his face!"

Mrs. Weatherford also spoke of Evan's integrity, commenting on his thoughtfulness, work ethic, politeness, positive attitude, and respect for others. 

 Isabella Harris - Positive Attitude
     
    Isabella is a true class leader who respectfully expresses her drive for excellence daily, shows compassion for others, and demonstrates self-discipline in quietly stepping up when others shirk. She helps others when needed but does not work for them, just appropriately with them. She manages all this with a smile and kindness for everyone with whom she interacts.

Nicholas Rawlings - Discipline 
     
     Mrs. Tripp says, "Nick never wastes time in class. He walks in, immediately gets the materials needed, and gets to work. During PACK time, he completes all his unfinished assignments and never hesitates to ask for help. He does a great job every day of modeling what every student should be doing while at school."

    Mrs. Cassady commented, "    Nicholas is the hardest working kid I know. He always makes sure he turns in his assignments, asks for help, and gives his best effort in everything he does. Nicholas is kind and caring to all UMS students and teachers. He is very respectful and has a positive attitude every day!"

Finley Read - Positive Attitude

    Finley presents a positive attitude even when experiencing hardships in her life. Also, she helps others by teaching them how to cope with their difficult situations when she is made aware of them.
