NJHS Pet Drive

petsThe Utley Middle School National Junior Honor Society recently wrapped up a successful pet drive for a local animal shelter.

Over the course of a few weeks, students organized and ran the drive, coming up with ways to get the word out across the school and ways to incentivize other students to participate.

When asked why they chose to do a pet drive, one NJHS member said, "Almost everyone has a pet, so we all wanted to give to pets in shelters that needed extra toys and blankets." Another mentioned, "It just seemed like a great way to help our community."

NJHS collected over two-hundred items to donate to the Rockwall and Royce City shelters. We're proud of these students for leading the way by setting these goals and having the discipline to see them through!
