Book Fair!

book fair Jones held its first book fair in over a year these past two weeks. Things looked a lot different, but the excitement was the same. Although procedures and scheduling were modified this year, simply having the book fair on campus was a welcome event. In a year when things have felt so different, having the book fair back on campus offered a sense of normalcy.

The book fair was held over two weeks to offer enough opportunities for classes to come at scheduled times and not mix with students from other classes. Students cleaned their hands when they arrived and left the book fair. Students were able to buy books to read during STAAR exams and the coming summer break. The profit from the fair also supplements the library's budget, allowing Jones to purchase more books for circulation.

"I love the book fair," Annie, a first-grader, giggled as she walked in the first time. That sentiment was repeated multiple times throughout the weeks. At the end of the two weeks, Amber, a second-grader, commented, "I wish the book fair was here all the time. I can't wait for it to come back!"
