FCCLA Culinary Arts Competition

Our GBCCA Culinary Arts students competed in FCCLA for the first time this year, and they surely did not disappoint! We celebrated their success with our very own awards ceremony and distributed their awards! They all did an outstanding job, and we couldn't be prouder. 

 Students competing were:

Roberto Avila (10th grade) Cupcake Presentation; 2nd place at regionals & 2nd place at state; $5,000 scholarship recipient 

Ameil Stovall (10th grade) Cupcake Presentation; regional competitor

Ryker Hayes (9th grade) Cupcake Presentation; 3rd place at regionals & 5th place at state; $1,500 scholarship recipient

Madeline Mueller (10th grade) Sports Nutrition; 1st place at regionals & 1st place at state; national qualifier; $16,000 scholarship recipient 

Heather Zertuche (10th grade) Food Innovations; 1st place at regional and state qualifier, $3,000 scholarship recipient

Audrey Borek (10th grade) Food Innovations; 1st place at regional and state qualifier; $3,000 scholarship recipient

Jirapa De Meyer Heepkaew (10th grade) Food Innovations; 1st place at regional and state qualifier, $3,000 scholarship recipient
