6th Grade Book Clubs!
Shannon Elementary 6th grade students started book clubs this week. The novels they are reading are related to social issues in order to build empathy through reading. To acquire the classroom library needed to do this, Mrs. Blancas and Ms. Jeffus created Amazon wish lists with the novels for the clubs. The books on the list address topics like homelessness, family issues, disabilities and bullying. Shannon families stepped up big time and ordered the books needed! We want to thank all the families that made it possible. Thank you for supporting our students!
