Senior Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Special Programs Named

 

The Board of Trustees recently approved the appointment of a Senior Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Special Programs.

 

Congratulations to Mr. David Carter, named Senior Chief Financial Officer.

 

Mr. David Carter received his Bachelor Degree in Professional Accountancy and Master in Business Administration from Texas A&M University – Commerce in Commerce, Texas. He has 13 years of experience in Texas public school finance ranging from Certified Public Accountant Auditor to serving as CFO for both Greenville ISD and Royse City ISD. He fills the vacancy left by Mr. Randy McDowell who accepted the CFO position in Plano ISD.

 

Congratulations to Mrs. Melissa Melton, named Executive Director of Special Programs.

 

Mrs. Melissa Melton earned her Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Texas at Tyler. Mrs. Melton has 16 years of experience as Coordinator for Special Education in Carroll ISD, Lead Diagnostician for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Diagnostician for Tyler ISD and special education teacher respectively serving the U.S. Department of Justice and Frankston ISD. She has extensive experience in the development and enhancement of district-wide special programs processes and procedures, as well as, programmatic implementation in providing excellence for students with special needs. She fills the position left by Mrs. Coral Wilkens who accepted a position at Region 10.
