Reinhardt Elementary Fourth grade teachers, Kim Acker and Brenna LeCroy, teamed up with Library Media Specialist Erin Figert to take the fourth graders on a virtual field trip to the New York State's Department of Sanitation.
The students have been studying recycling in their science classes and were able to see how New York processes their trash and their recycling.
They will follow up in their classroom by comparing a local Texas city's recycling program and then develop ways that they can help with recycling in their community.
There were plenty of “oohs” and “aahs” along with a lot of learning.
