Each year Rockwall ISD features the artwork of our elementary students on the official RISD Holiday Greeting Card. This year’s card features artwork from Esther Nava, a sixth-grade Art student at Shannon Elementary.
“Esther is the greatest art student and I’m so proud of her,” said Susan Guzman, Esther’s art teacher at Shannon Elementary. “She would work on the card every chance she had.”
Esther was recognized at the December Board of Trustees meeting where she was presented a framed copy of her original artwork and the official 2017 Rockwall ISD Holiday Greeting Card along with a box of the cards to share with her family and friends
“All of the artwork we received this year was simply amazing,” said Chris Kosterman, Rockwall ISD fine arts director. “Our Elementary Art Teachers do a phenomenal job of inspiring creativity and teaching our kids about the beautiful and expressive language of the Visual Arts.”
