Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath HS Academic Decathlon teams recently competed in the Region X tournament placing third and fourth place in the region respectively, qualifying them to advance to the state tournament.
In the Region X Super Quiz Relay, the two teams finished in a first-place tie with each other, making them co-champions.
For Rockwall HS, Kaylah Coreno, Jason Apuan, Anna Voth, and Joseph Yeh medaled in two events while Demario Elder and Noah Vance medaled in one. For Rockwall-Heath HS, Hanor Smith medaled in all seven objective subjects winning first place overall for his division, Anthony Robles won a medal in Social Science and Rhett Cooprider won two medals in Economics and Interview.
