Third graders in Ashlie Newberry's class at Springer Elementary recently participated in a class project donating new pajamas for children living in shelters, group homes and foster care. Donations also benefitted those who attend title I schools, head start programs and other organizations who support at-risk children through Scholastic Pajama Drive.
Students donated knowing the pajamas would help others have warm and comfortable bedtimes. Scholastic also matched donations with books.
These Springer students are leading by example and are showing everyone what it means to give this holiday season.
