The Rockwall-Heath HS JV Starsteppers recently competed at the ADTS North Texas Regionals where they won numerous awards.
The team brought home a Sweepstakes Award, a Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence, a Judges’ Award for each of their Jazz, Pom and Military routines and a Platinum Award for Best Overall Technique, Precision, Presentation and Choreography. The Starsteppers also won Best in Class in the JV category and were 3rd place among Best of the Best Teams.
The Starstepper Officers won a Sweepstakes Award, a Gussie Nell Davis Award of Excellence, a Judges’ Award for each of their Jazz, Hip Hop and Contemporary routines and a Platinum Award for Best Overall Technique, Precision, Presentation and Choreography. The Starstepper Officers were awarded the Best in Class Officer award for the JV Category and were the Best of the Best Officers among all the officer groups at the competition.
Lt. Jenna Jecmenek won the JV solo division, with Emmy Wade, 1st runner up and Lt. Mya Abmas, 2nd runner up.
The Starsteppers are under the direction of Mrs. Anna Blair. Assistant directors are Mrs. Monica Lyon and Mrs. Michaelle Carney.
