Rockwall ISD Culinary Team is Back-to-Back State Champions

 

In February 2018, the Rockwall ISD Culinary Arts Team earned first place at the regional competition, qualifying them for a spot at the state finals where they would defend their state title.

 

And defend it, they did. The Rockwall ISD Culinary Arts Team are now back-to-back state champions.

 

They will compete for the national championship in Providence, Rhode Island April 27-29.  The students earned multiple scholarships for their stellar performance.

 

Each student on the team received the following scholarships:

Johnson & Wales University Scholarship - $1,000.00 (renewable for four years)

Louisiana Culinary Institue Scholarship - $3,000

New England Culinary Institute Scholarship - $6,000

Culinary Institute of Virgina Scholarship - $8,000

Culinary Institute of America Scholarship $8,000

Evan Scott, Senior (RHHS)

Preslie Mann, Junior (RHHS)

Cameron Davis, Senior (RHHS)

Rachel Bristow, Sophomore (RHS)
