Congratulations to Ms. Cabrales (4th grade), Ms. Tate (6th grade) and Ms. Loya (Library Media Specialist) for receiving a Toyota of Rockwall Grant to help fund morning STEM stations.
The goal of these stations is to provide learning opportunities that students don't normally get throughout the day or who can't afford to have these experiences at home.
Hands-on, STEM based activities first thing in the morning encourage all types of learners to participate, feel successful, and have a positive outlook on education. These stations will compliment similar morning stations in the 1-3 grade classes at Jones.
Principal Twedell first had the idea for these morning experiences, and now more than 30% of teachers at Jones ES are implementing them. It’s amazing to see students engaged and excited about learning
