As part of national Computer Science Education Week, which took place December 3-9, Rockwall ISD students participated in Hour of Code.
Hour of Code was started to encourage students to learn the basics of coding and show that anyone can code. Coding helps nurture creativity and problem solving and builds a foundation of skills that will prepare students for any future career.
Students participate during their computer lab time and in the classroom.
Students can also practice coding at home using the website: Hourofcode.com is a great resource for students of all ages. It offers hundreds of activities for all ages. Activities require no experience and can run on any browser.
