The Rockwall HS and Rockwall-Heath HS Academic Decathlon teams recently competed Regional Academic Decathlon Meet.
Congratulations to these students and good luck at the state meet in San Antonio.
RHS Results
The Rockwall HS AcDec team became the Region X Large School Champions and finished with the second overall score in the region by only 200 points out of 48,000.
Grace Wilding finished as the first Overall Honors student with the Region’s top score and Joseph Yeh was the fifth Overall Honors student.
Anna Voth finished as the fourth Overall Scholastic student, while Noah Vance and Jason Dupre finished as the third and fourth Overall Varsity students, respectively.
In all, team took home 40 medals in individual events and tied for third place in the Region X Super Quiz event.
Other team members: Jason Apuan, Abby Gomez, Russell Descourouez, and Eric Sun.

Rockwall-Heath High School placed 3rd overall and 3rd overall in Super Quiz.
In the varsity division, Drew Dutton placed first and Nolan Cutler placed second overall. Harrison LaCroix placed fifth individually in the scholastic division.
In the math category, six of the decathletes received medals for placing in the top five. Andrew Mendoza was recognized for his essay along with Hayden Petruzzi for his interview.
Halley Wheeler received a medal for her speech.
