Amy Parks-Heath ES Graders Harvest and Eat what they Plant

Second graders at Amy Parks-Heath ES didn’t let a few sprinkles keep them from coming out to the garden and transplanting a variety of lettuce and cabbage.

They listened carefully to Ms. Jane Bukowitz give her expertise on worms and their beneficial properties to the garden soil. Students filled the soil with worms in an effort to create the best possible soil for the greens to grow.
