The Rockwall ISD Culinary Team recently competed at the ProStart DFW Regional Competition where the main Culinary Team won first place and the Restaurant Management Team won second place.
Both ProStart teams received mixed feedback at competition, but came out on top in the end!
“When time for the awards ceremony came, we were all nervous, said Mason Estrada Culinary Arts Chef Instructor, “but much to our delight the culinary team placed 1st and our restaurant management team placed 2nd, behind the reigning national champion.”
Both teams will progress to state, and compete March 27 and 28 in San Antonio.
