Jami Werth, Health Science teacher at Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy was awarded with the 2021 Spring Grant from Rockwall ISD Education Foundation.
Ashlei Neill, Executive Director of RISD Education Foundation presented her with a $500 check to go towards an EKG for the Health Science lab.
In addition, Texas Health Hospital Rockwall sent a recorded video surprising her with a gift of paying off the rest of the balance for the EKG.
Soon, the machine will be added to their lab so students become EKG (electrocardiogram) certified.
