Disaster Response students at the Dr. Gene Burton College & Career Academy recently participated in their first mock disaster drill.
Students practiced leveraging and cribbing techniques as well as basic first aid. They were required to use their team work skills to safely extricate mock patients from a simulated building collapse.
At the end of this course, these students will have the opportunity to earn their TEEN CERT certification.
