Dr. Mary Pugh joins our administrative team with 21 years in education. Most recently, Dr. Pugh has served Rockwall ISD as the principal at Doris Cullins-Lake Pointe Elementary. She has served as a Curriculum Coordinator, Assistant Principal, Instructional Specialist, Librarian and Teacher. She earned a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Science in Human Development with an emphasis in Leadership and Training from the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Tulsa. Dr. Pugh has served in Coppell ISD, Carroll ISD, Irving ISD and Denton ISD.
Dr. Pugh’s professional experiences include:
- District Coordinator of Math, Science and Social Studies;
- Extensive experience in Implementation of District and Campus Wide Professional Learning Communities (PLCs);
- Principal Mentor; and
- Strong Leadership in improving overall student achievement.
School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Annual Update
The Board received the annual SHAC update that included meeting dates and accomplishments. The SHAC committee is comprised of parents, community members, teachers, administrators and district staff members in compliance with Section 28.004 of the Texas Education Code.
