Third grade student Adeline Blanton from Amy Parks-Heath Elementary and fifth grade student Sebastian Gonzalez from Sharon Shannon Elementary each won second place in their category in the 2022 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest.

Representatives from the Goodyear Cotton Bowl visited each campus for a surprise announcement of the winners. Adeline and Sebastian received their framed winning artwork and celebrated with their classmates and family.

Adeline’s and Sebastian’s artwork will proudly be displayed at their schools and at AT&T Stadium where the annual Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic college football game is held. The winners also received tickets to the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on January 2, 2023 and a Cotton Bowl gift package.

For more than three decades, the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest has invited first through sixth grade students across North Texas to enter a drawing that represents the Cotton Bowl Classic.

In addition to the student winners, Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School art teacher Amber Denton received an award of $500 to go toward art supplies for submitting at least 50 entries.
