More than 200 Students Earn Professional Certifications at GBCCA Cording Ceremony

More than 400 students received their graduation honor cords and more than 200 students earned professional certifications at the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy cording ceremony last week. 

A few of the certifications students earned include Certified Medical Assistant, EKG Technician and Non-Commissioned Security Officer. More than 90 students also received Trustee medals, which were presented by the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees. 

Students were also recognized for their exceptional achievements in state, national and international Career and Technical Education competitions. 

The Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy offers 12 career clusters, multiple programs of study and 44 different professional certifications.
