TeenTober

teentoberEvery year, the American Library Association encourages both school and public library to host TeenTober events. "TeenTober™ is a nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October and aims to celebrate teens, promote year-round teen services and the innovative ways teen services helps teens learn new skills, and fuel their passions in and outside the library."

Throughout the month of October, the Utley Library hosted lunches in the library once a week to showcase all of the resources the library has to offer. These lunches were also a way for the library media specialist, Ms. Loya to meet students and interact with them outside of classtimes and beyond check outs.

Students completed crafts like pins for their lanyards and stickers for their water bottles. They also played games the library has available for checkouts and were also able to try using 3D pens to create figurines while they ate.
