Utley 8th Grade ELA classes recently participated in The Tell-Tale Heart Escape Room in the library! Six clues were hidden around the library, and students had to solve each one to lead them to the final goal.
Upon arriving at the escape room, students became agents who were on the case of the missing old man. Each group was given one clue and one cipher. Once they completed the clue, they were able to decode the letters to find the next clue. Each clue contained a vocabulary list along with questions about the story.
Students had to use their knowledge of the story, vocabulary, and plot elements in order to find six clues hidden around the library. The groups that solved the clues first were the winners!
