UMS Orchestra Success

Utley Middle School's orchestra program has reason to celebrate as six of its talented students have earned spots in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 3 All-Region Orchestra. These young musicians demonstrated their musical skills during a rigorous audition process that took place over the past weekend, securing their positions.

The audition process for the TMEA All-Region Orchestra is complex and demands a high level of skill and dedication. The Utley Middle School students excelled, showcasing their exceptional musical talents. Their selection is a testament to their commitment and hard work, reflecting positively on both the students and the school's music program, directed by Mr. Hadsell and Ms. Waymon.

There will be a TMEA Region Clinic and Concert at RHHS on December 8 and 9, providing a platform for the region's top young musicians to collaborate and shine. We are looking forward to this performance and encourage everyone to offer their congratulations to these young musicians when they see them in the school hallways! Their success is well-deserved!
