Utley Teacher and Paraprofessional of the Year Nominees

Congratulations to this year's Teacher and Paraprofessional of the Year nominees! Here are just a few things their peers had to say about them.

Ms. Huck: "Ms. Huck has been a remarkable leader and she is a consistent example of a great teacher. She is always eager to lend a helping hand and is willing to go above and beyond to assist in any way she can. Her positive attitude and dedication to learning are truly admirable."

Ms. Amador: “Ms. Amador is the ultimate teacher. She is academically strong in her content area and loves her subject. She finds fun and exciting ways to encourage her students and to bring out the best in them. She has a passion for math and wants all of her students to be confident. Not only is she content-strong, but she is also a wonderful team leader. Sam has had to adjust to a lot of change in her department this year and has handled it like a champ. She has taken on extra duties and has helped mentor and train three new teachers, one in the middle of the year. Sam organizes staff nights for all sports and encourages school spirit. She is a true example of The Utley Way."

Mr. Mortali: “Mr. Mortali is a constant bright presence in the school, both in his interactions with students and with staff. If there are events happening within the school, he willingly participates, whether that is volunteering or simply being there to support. His enthusiasm and genuine attitude make Utley better."

Ms. Wells: “Ms. Wells is simply amazing! She is the heart of Utley. She makes sure everything is in place and running accordingly! We could not be as strong a campus without her tireless leadership and kindness!”

Ms. "Yaya": "Ms. Yaya is always ready and willing to help anywhere she is needed. She runs all over this building making sure to help in every situation she is asked to help in. The students love her and are comfortable going to see her when they need something. She makes connections with students and staff to help create a comfortable environment for all."
