Student Advances to State Competition in PTA Reflections Art Contest

We are excited to announce that Camila Batres has successfully advanced to the State PTA Reflections contest with her artwork. Her art piece, responding to this year's theme, "I am hopeful because...," captures the essence of hope and resilience in a visually striking manner.

Batres submitted an amazing piece that resonates deeply with the theme of hope. Titled "A Blossom of Hope," the artwork features a young girl bravely walking towards a delicate flower with a chaotic backdrop.

In her artist's statement, Batres explains the inspiration behind her creation: "I drew a girl walking up to a flower among destruction around it. This is a symbol of what gives her hope. The drawing shows that the young girl is never alone in life, and to focus on seeing the hope and growth around you."

The PTA Reflections contest, an annual event organized by the Parent-Teacher Association, provides a platform for students to express themselves through various artistic mediums. The theme for this year, "I am hopeful because...," prompted participants to explore and portray their personal reflections on hope and positivity.
