Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome to Jones Elementary!  We are your Kindergarten teachers for the 2023-24 school year, and we are so excited that you're here! Our main emphasis will be learning how to read and write!  We will be specifically covering:

          -Identifying 26 letters, uppercase and lowercase, and matching their sounds.

          -Learning 45 high-frequency words.

          -Learning how to compose and write different types of literary genres.

We will also be studying math, science and social studies! We hope that your child has a wonderful year in kindergarten, and develops a passion for learning and a love for school! We also hope your child makes many friends and many meaningful memories!
