My name is Julie Winn and I am so excited to be a part of the Celia Hays family! I am going into my 11th year of teaching music and love watching students grow and develop into amazing musicians.

I  was born and raised in Ohio (but came to Texas as fast I could) , where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education/Oboe Performance from Ohio University and my Master's Degree in Oboe Performance from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.  I received my Orff Schulwerk certification from Southern Methodist University, which is an approach to teaching music.  I believe students need to be active participants in the learning process and Orff promotes this approach.  In my music room, you will see singing, movement, acting, instruments, and a lot of musical learning!
