Mr. Will Moses
Hi Heroes and Parents! My Name is Will Moses. I come to Hamm from Tibbals Elementary in Wylie where I helped open the school and taught music for 16 years! This is my 2nd year @Hammfam. It feels more like our (2nd) 1st year.
I Love all things musical and sharing those experiences with my students. My wife's name is Christie. We just celebrated 25 Years of marriage this Summer! We have two children; Bethany who is starting 8th grade, loves volleyball and hanging out with her friends, and Joshua who is studying Music Ed. @Harding University in Arkansas. He is going to have his Jr. recital this Fall!
I'm looking forward to visiting with you and learning more about you at our musical programs and other Hamm events. Please make every effort to be a part of the Hamm Fam and attend these performances.
I will be adding to our school music website, so check back often. Also, make sure to fill out the 2021 Music Profile so that I know more about and how to better serve your hero. (I will be using this profile for reference in making decisions and answering questions.)
Our twitter feed is @HammMusicHeroes. Make sure you follow us. I will post fun music learning experiences and updates on this feed.
Music Education Philosophy
I love this quote from Billy Joel! It encapsulates the essence of music in human experience. For children especially, music is formative in a well-rounded education. Music Education is not just a side note, it's at the core...it's at the heart! Learning music has been linked to higher academic performance in studies too numerous to count. Music is the universal language, it is math, it is science, it is history, most of all; it is expression and community.
